PNL criticizes PSD for electoral motivations in governance decisions

The National Liberal Party (PNL) spokesperson Ionut Stroe said on Tuesday that the liberals can no longer trust the Social Democratic Party (PSD) to honor its commitments, inform agerpres.

“PSD is the last one to talk about ‘political chaos’ or ‘lies’, as the representatives of this party say. The PSD’s decision changes, from one day to the next, made with an eye on the polls and out of electoral interest, have become a practice that does not lead to consensus, but only to incoherence in governance. After Marcel Ciolacu broke his word again, we can no longer trust the PSD to keep its commitments. Unfortunately, it has become a habit for the PSD to say something and then take another decision,” Stroe wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the subject of the law that allows incumbent presidents to run for office at the end of their mandate is a proposal assumed by the PSD and Marcel Ciolacu, “who then thought of turning it into a political attack and stirring things up”.

“When some coalition agreements are answered with lies, we honestly wonder, where is the seriousness? We have several situations in which PSD pretends it’s raining, after promising something, and the most painful case is that of military pensions. PSD promised, and then forgot to solve the inequities related to these pensions,” he said.

In the opinion of the PNL spokesperson, the PSD wants too much “all the power” and “this ends up blinding them again”.

“Once again, before the elections, the PSD chooses to go to war with everyone, to hit partners and anyone who gets in their way to power. The PSD wants all the power too much and this ends up blinding them again,” the liberal considers.
